About Us: Mission Statement

Holt Counseling Center has been in business as a non-profit organization for over thirteen years. We provide counseling services to the general public, as well as low income families. Holt Counseling Center provides counseling services to the following populations: Individuals, Groups, Families, Couples, Children, and Adolescents. We offer the 52-week Parenting Class and 16-week Anger Management Class.  Holt Counseling Center has three locations serving clients in Lodi, Stockton, and Modesto.

 

Holt Counseling Center receives referrals from the following: Private Clients, Private Insurance, EAP Programs, Victims of Crime, San Joaquin County CPS, In-Home Services for families in reunifications, as well as in-home services in Recovery Programs, such as Recovery House, New Directions, New Hope, Stockton Shelter, Circle of Friends, Family Ties, His Way in Manteca, and sober living. Holt Counseling has contracts with Superior Court in San Joaquin County for the AOD Substance Abuse Program and the AB 109 Reentry Program. We also do In-Home Services for the Court, as well. Clients for our Anger Management and Parenting Classes are referred by San Joaquin County Probation. Holt Counseling Center receives referrals from Lodi Unified School District for Children at Risk and we have a Social Skills Group for children between the ages of six and ten. We also provide Co-Parenting Classes and Supervised Visits.

 

Recently, Holt Counseling Center became providers for MediCal through Health Plan of San Joaquin.

 

Our staff consists of Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Diana J. Holt, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Melissa Marvin, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Elaine Ehrich, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Anthony Hong, and Master Level Interns and Trainees. Trainees are in a Master’s Program completing their practicum. Supervision is provided by Diana J. Holt, LCSW, who is also our Director, and Melissa Marvin, LMFT. Melissa Marvin completed her hours at Holt Counseling Center, received her license and is now back doing supervision and seeing clients. Elaine Ehrich, LMFT also completed her hours at Holt, received her license, and has come back as a Licensed Therapist. Anthony Hong, LMFT is new to Holt Counseling Center.

 

Holt Counseling Center is listed with other counties, such as the Sacramento County Family Court Resource and Referral Program, as well as Sacramento County Victims of Crime.

 

Holt Counseling Center is a training site for Interns and Trainees. We are proud to say that we have helped over 70 Interns and Trainees to receive hours towards their programs. Holt Counseling Center offers a variety of experience due to our diversity of clients and services.
